About

I’m 27 years old, married, and working as a landscaper and indoor plant care/maintenance person. I’m pretty much a total geek and into scifi, anime, fantasy, MMORPG gaming, console gaming, etc.

Gardening

Sometimes it's tricky getting into the right mood to work in my own gardens because I do landscaping for a living. Still, it's very satisfying when I do get a good day and a good mood for digging in the dirt.

I recently made this garden and it was full of gravel from the gravel drive/parking area. I spent a lot of time picking out as much of the gravel as possible today and then I added a nice layer of cotton burr compost mulch and planted some more pansies.

Pansies are awesome flowers, really. Plant them in the fall and they can actually survive the winter and bloom beautifully in the spring because they've had all that time to build their root systems. How the term "pansy" ever became an insult, I will never know.

As far as knitting goes, I've been working on my first sock and I'm already completely addicted to sock knitting. The Mystic Waters shawl is going quite well, although I'm very behind. I have a 6-day vacation coming up, so I'm hoping to do some catching up then.
